For the October 14th day of issue the German Postal Service (Deutsche Post AG) offered a special First Day of Issue service at 53111 Bonn and 10770 Berlin special cancel locations. Pre-release announcements stated that the cancellors would be of identical design and vary only in the postal code and town names. The actual cancellors used are presented below.
One can see that the two cancels are not identical in graphical design.
