In 1999 the German Postal Service once again issued an annual stamp book containing all the stamps issued in that year. As in every other year (since 1993) one stamp issue has been  reproduced as a hologram in this year book. This hologram is not valid for postage.

The 1999 hologram reproduction was from the stamp sheet issue "Nationalpark Berchtesgaden". This was a joint EUROPA issue where all participating countries commemorated a national park reserve.
