The year 2000 marks a significant increase in variations of the pre-paid package and parcel labels.

A special cancellation was available for the opening of EXPO 2000 Hannover.

It was only then (1st of June 2000) that collectors learned that a special design for pre-paid package labels had been issued (and sold only at the EXPO 2000 post office site). EXPO 2000 closed on October 31st and these pre-paid labels have not been available at philatelic outlets.
